Énergir – Multipurpose room
The construction of Énergir’s new building in Magog was completed in just nine months, within a demanding context where performance, durability, and site adaptation were key priorities. Fully powered by geothermal energy, the building reflects a modern vision of high-performance, energy-efficient facilities.
As general contractor, Lanthier Construction provided project management and construction coordination services, leveraging a value engineering approach to optimize technical solutions despite complex geological conditions and a compressed schedule. The work included five 550-foot geothermal boreholes drilled into friable bedrock, raising the site elevation by more than four metres, and the construction of retention ponds for stormwater management.
The site was also equipped with electrical infrastructure supporting low-emission mobility, including EV charging stations and exterior power outlets for service vehicle equipment. This project highlights Lanthier Construction’s expertise in delivering high-performance, energy-efficient buildings, combining precise execution with the ability to adapt to challenging site conditions.
