The purpose of this Personal Information Protection Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) is to enable you to understand the collection, use, disclosure and destruction of your personal information made by the Company. Most of the information is collected from you directly during our exchanges with a view to providing services, as well as during your visits to the website, your communications with our office by any means and during your registration for the various activities organized by the Company.

  • For the provision of services: Renovation/general construction projects including to carry out our obligations arising from the regulations in force;
  • In the context of business relationships: personalize the services provided, manage and strengthen our relationships with our customers, establish the wishes of our customers, solidify our links with our commercial partners;
  • To prevent fraud: background checks, disclosure required under applicable law or regulation, transmission of information to law enforcement where regulations provide;
  • To proceed with recovery: ensure that invoices are paid for services rendered;
  • For supplier management: management of services received by service providers;
  • To comply with regulations: meet our legal, regulatory and risk management obligations;
  • For events, marketing and business development: for organizing events, informing you of new services offered, inviting you to events likely to interest you;
  • For recruitment: to allow us to analyze a submitted application and the applicant’s abilities, to allow the recruitment process to work;

For the use of the website: in order to ensure that the content posted online is relevant, the ways in which visitors use the website, ensure that the presentation of online content is functional for the different connection methods used.

The personal information provided may be shared, in particular with the stakeholders identified below. The information shared will be for the sole purpose of achieving the main and legitimate objective for which it was collected or for purposes compatible with this objective, only the necessary information will be shared:

  • To our service providers: these may include our IT service providers, hosting providers, and others. They may have access to personal information or may have to process it, depending on the services provided. The information provided to them is that strictly necessary to fulfill the obligations provided for in their contract. Each of the service providers has undertaken, in writing, to respect the confidentiality of the data received or encountered.

  • The purchaser or transferee of the Company: when required as part of a reorganization of the Company’s activities, for any merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, in the event of insolvency, bankruptcy, for which these Personal information could be considered a business asset.

 

Retention of personal information

Personal information is kept in accordance with the retention rules and for a period necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, as well as the obligations provided for in this Policy. The files are kept for an indefinite period, as long as the company must make use of them.

 

Protection of personal information

Your personal information is protected in accordance with the rules in force, in particular by physical, technical and administrative protections, thus limiting the risk of access to your personal information by an unauthorized person. Your information is therefore protected against theft, accidental loss or destruction, unauthorized use or access, modification or any other prohibited processing of personal information.

Thus, only staff members who need to have access, to know or whose functions require them to have knowledge of the information have access to it. All employees are bound by an obligation of confidentiality.

The obligations are therefore those provided for by the laws and regulations in force in Canada regarding the protection of personal information. Our practices are governed by this Policy and the laws governing it.

The Company cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted in this way and you accept this at your own risk. Following receipt of your request for access to information, the Company’s privacy officer will examine the personal information held and will send you a copy of the information held, subject to applicable law and payment of the amount requested in this capacity;
  • Accuracy: current legal obligations require us to take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up to date;
  • Rectification: you have the right to request that any information about you that is inaccurate or incomplete be rectified.
