Expansion of the Athos Funeral Home in Laval
The expansion project for the Athos Funeral Home was undertaken to provide more functional, accessible, and welcoming spaces while ensuring seamless integration with the existing building. Lanthier Construction, responsible for the project execution, provided comprehensive project management services throughout this large-scale mandate.
The work included the addition of new ceremony rooms designed to accommodate larger gatherings, as well as the expansion of reception and gathering areas. A significant interior renovation was also completed to improve circulation between public spaces and technical service areas.
The project also included the construction of new accessible washrooms, the addition of a dedicated support services area, and the integration of a new exterior entrance featuring a canopy and universal access. Accessibility enhancements included widened corridors and doorways, along with the installation of adapted ramps. Careful coordination ensured architectural and functional continuity between the existing and newly constructed areas, particularly regarding the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
