Superintendent

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the execution of work in accordance with established plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Plan, supervise, and organize the work of skilled workers and subcontractors.
  • Develop weekly schedules and monitor crew attendance on site.
  • Assign daily tasks based on operational priorities.
  • Ensure the training, supervision, and engagement of workers on site.
  • Make sure that labor, tools, and materials are available in a timely manner.
  • Strictly enforce health and safety regulations as well as quality standards.
  • Respond effectively to unforeseen events or technical issues.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize productivity, work methods, and timelines.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, and health & safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
  • Basic knowledge of electromechanical systems (an asset).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and strong sense of priorities.
  • High school diploma or training in a skilled trade (carpentry, joinery, etc.).
